Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?
from A Summer Day by Mary Oliver
Are you feeling stuck or held-back by beliefs and patterns of relating to yourself and others that no
longer serve you? Together, we can uncover the hidden dynamics in your life and gently explore
your emotional and psychological landscape to help you find fresh perspectives, creating
meaningful lasting freedom.
I bring a deeply compassionate approach informed by my lived experience of the systemic,
environmental, psychological, relational and spiritual challenges faced by us all.
As a chartered psychologist, Internal Family Systems therapist and psychotherapeutic counsellor I offer a professional and empathetic space for healing and transformation.
Let’s begin this journey together.
Through bringing awareness to the sensations stored in your body and compassion and appreciation
to all aspects of your inner world we can explore your strengths and difficulties to promote
wellness, confidence and more joyous ways of living.
I don’t have an agenda for you - whatever you bring or want to explore is welcome. Often past
experiences continue to influence and impact your life: gradually you’ll make friends with yourself,
peace with the past, and discover the possibility to free yourself from your history.
I may share aspects of my life experience that might support you but it’s not my job to advise you.
I draw heavily on my training as an Internal Family Systems therapist to facilitate compassionate
self-leadership but have also acquired a diverse toolkit of other fascinating ways to support my
clients in their growth, utilising Existential, Jungian, Somatic, Taoist, Buddhist, Person-Centred,
Psychodynamic, Collaborative and Eco-therapeutic approaches
Booking and Pricing
You’re warmly invited to book a free 20-minute call to sense whether our
connection feels right for you.
Session lengths of 60 minutes to 120 minutes are available at £90 per hour but I offer greatly
reduced rates from £10 per hour (or zero where needed) to those on low income as a small attempt
to rebalance some of the inequality in our society.
If you are a ‘poor traveller’ with a trust-fund and a family estate I ask you to consider carefully your ability to pay. I am also happy to accept a fair
exchange of goods or services on a mutual exchange basis where this makes sense.
As a working-class man from Yorkshire and member of a minority group I have lived experience of
how systemic inequalities impact mental health. I have a spiritual practice but am down to earth and
grounded and am a dedicated father to a 15 year old girl.
I’m committed to actively addressing
inequality in all forms and strive to understand and address the impact of my white-male-western
privilege. I am passionate about the environment and nature-based connection.
I know what it is like to experience loss, grief and overwhelm and how the echoes of old attachment
wounds reverberate in the mind and body. I also know it is possible to meet and heal old wounded
parts, slowly and gently.
What did you have to become to survive your childhood?
What parts of you do you hide, deny or repress to ensure you are accepted and loved?
What burdened beliefs did you start to take-on about how you should be?
Working together, you will get to understand and love the unacknowledged aspects of your inner world: you will find that you are more than the sum of your parts and are much bigger than the stories and ideas you wove to keep you connected and accepted.
I will meet you just where you are as we start this exploration together.
Therapy is very much about collaboration with you as expert on yourself - you know the way to go.
You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees
for a hundred miles through the desert, repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body
love what it loves.
